Ethereum (ETH): The Smart Contract Platform

Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that enables the development of smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps). Ethereum was first proposed in 2013 by Vitalik Buterin, a cryptocurrency researcher and programmer.
